39th ABW unveils modernized dorm at Incirlik

Leaders from across the 39th Air Base Wing gathered alongside project engineers, contracting specialists, and base residents to cut the ceremonial ribbon reopening Unaccompanied Housing Facility Dorm 882 at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, Sept. 25, 2026.

The ceremony marked the culmination of an extensive 949-day, $2.7 million modernization project led by the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron and the 39th Contracting Squadron.

Presiding over the ceremony, U.S. Air Force Col. Isaac Adams, 39th Air Base Wing commander, emphasized that mission readiness starts with taking care of Airmen where they live.

"Investing in our people begins with the foundation we build beneath them, starting with the places they call home," said Adams. "When our Airmen have access to reliable, high-quality living spaces, they can focus wholly on the mission, confident that their well-being and safety are a top wing priority."

In addition to upgraded room layouts and modern kitchen cabinetry, the renovation delivered critical mechanical, structural, and electrical overhauls to meet Department of War Unified Facilities Criteria and U.S. European Command Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection standards.

The Dorm 882 overhaul represents the wing’s effort to modernize unaccompanied housing across the installation and reinforces the connection between Airmen quality of life and day-to-day mission success. Providing service members with a safe, modern, and resilient environment to rest and recharge directly fuels the energy and focus they bring to the fight each day.
